FundShifting

TC PTA works to redistribute additional funds collected through memberships, donations or event sales. These funds are used to supplement our community pantry, redistribute to indigenous and youth-led BIPOC organizations, assist local PTAs with immediate community needs, contribute towards professional development opportunities around race and equity, and support our annual operating expenses. If you would like to further our financial reach and support our fund-shifting goals you can do so through a direct donation. Thank you!

Winter 2021: black lives matter at school - T-shirts + Face Masks

While we would love to be screen printing with members of the Thornton Creek Community in the Art Room at school again, due to Covid-19 pandemic and public health guidelines, we won't have that opportunity this year. Fear not, BLM at School gear is still available! We have partnered with a local Black-owned business, Designs by Denise to purchase a small batch of custom T-shirts and face masks featuring the 2021 winning Student Design as well as the classic BLM at School logo.

Now more than ever, educational equity matters! We invite you to join us in supporting Title I schools across our district by purchasing beautiful flowers and/or a CSA box from local Hmong farmers. Your purchase will work towards addressing systemic failures and disparate outcomes in our most under-resourced schools while supporting the livelihood of local farmers.

For each item purchased, $10 plus any additional donation amounts will go toward a fund for Title I Schools administered by Seattle Council PTSA to advance educational equity.
